Search Engine Optimization (SEO) seems complicated, and to many people it is, but once you break it down it is extremely user-friendly. SEO is essentially comprised of inbound linking, meta- and title-tag work, and strategic copy. Yes, there are other elements, but if you can master these three components, you will be well on your way to creating an optimized page.

Inbound Linking: When you create new profiles, always link them to each other. If you/your company has a web page, add buttons to any new profiles. The more links a profile has coming into it, the better. Links, especially from a site that ranks high and that is therefore already legitimized by Google, tell Google that your new profile is also legitimate and correctly representative of you/your company. Inbound linking is really just busy work, but it is essential to ensuring the success of a new site.

Meta-tags and title-tags Tags describe your site so that when search engine spiders come, users can find your site in a way that makes sense. For example, if a user is searching for a recipe site, it would be helpful for you to have the tag "recipe". Include as many tags as possible, to increase the likelihood of Google recognizing your site for a wide variety of searches. It is often beneficial to create key phrases rather than individual terms, i.e. "network marketing coaching" instead of "network," "marketing," and "coaching.
